The following include the scripts and outlines for our individual projects.
Regarding the recent earthquake in Boulder, Colorado, on behalf of Liana Martin, our priority is to first take care of the people affected and make sure they are safe. By teaming up with the Red Cross we will help by conducting search and rescue efforts to make sure everyone is safe, provide medical care for the injured, serve food and water for those in need, distribute relief supplies, and build emergency shelters for those who have lost their homes.
We have set up a donations account were people can help the cause of rebuilding the community. This will allow us to give money to help small companies and families that have been affected and assist them to get back on their feet. It will also help to donate to Red Cross, volunteer your time, or support us with the resources and workforce we need to clean up the fallen buildings and get us back on track.
After we have made sure everyone is safe and is being taken care of, we will start to rebuild new and better buildings to withstand earthquakes around the effected community. To make sure we will be prepared for the next earthquake that comes our way, we will also have volunteers teach disaster preparedness to help more people keep safe during the earthquakes.

Our scandal was that our Press Secretary, Jordan, was called on the fact that he advertised (in a commercial) grossly incorrect information about how much money our candidate paid in taxes last year. Jordan specifically reported that our candidate Liana Martin payed $10,074 in taxes when she actually payed $100,074. This mistake was made because a zero was left off the commercial script. Jordan had been following the script and didn’t question its reliability out of trust for the script writers. The commercial editors didn’t notice the mistake because they were focused on making edits and weren’t paying attention to what was being said in the commercial. This error was fortunately caught just after the commercial began advertising to the public. After hearing of this mistake, we made sure to remove all of our advertising that had false numbers. We have now gone back and re-filmed the commercial with the correct information. On behalf of the Meta Party and presidential candidate Liana Martin, we apologize for advertising incorrect numbers. You can rest assured Liana Martin is paying her fair share of taxes and we hope you continue to support our campaign even after this mistake. We have learned from this experience and we will be sure to thoroughly fact check our advertising from now on. Thank you.
Hello and good morning. My name is Leah Cornelsen, and I am the Vice-Presidential candidate for the Meta Party. Our party’s mantra is “better choices for a better world” we intend to do this by focusing on a more effective and beneficial COVID19 response, distributing free health care, focusing on how to restorer and protect our environment, and making sure that there are equal rights for all.

Dogs are an iconic part of America. Since the beginning of our country, they have been seen as an All-American animal, whether they help hunt, find drugs in airports, or are simply family companions. As dogs are such popular pets, there are many people who breed them as a way to make profit. Sometimes the breeding is humane and safe, but in many other scenarios dogs are mistreated and abused. This kind of a breeding facility is called a puppy mill, and there are over 10,000 of them in the United States.
In puppy mills dogs are treated as machines instead of living beings, forced to have litter after litter until they can no longer bear young, at which point they are abandoned or killed. They get little to no attention and live in cramped cages, and disease spreads quickly, often killing parent dogs and puppies alike. Disease isn’t the only issue here, though. Many dogs are killed when they are no longer wanted or useful, and even if they aren’t they live in constant pain and in terrible conditions.
Puppy mills are a part of a terrible industry that puts thousands of animals in painful situations each year. I urge the American people to consider adopting a dog from an animal shelter, or at the very least looking into in a breeder’s background and credibility before supporting them. Together we can solve the problem of unethical breeding and protect animals that can’t speak for themselves.

What I’ll do as President:
- 27.5 million Americans do not have healthcare. 45,000 due annually because they can’t get access to the healthcare they need. As president I’ll get rid of the death toll related to lack of healthcare and create a healthier general public.
- America is one of the highest homicide-by-gun countries. With the annual cost of 229 billion dollars for gun violence, 750,000 people are injured annually with guns. By making it, even a little, harder for people with bad intentions to access guns we can save government money and save lives.
- After COVID-19 the global economy has been devastated. By doing our best to keep the economy open, we can keep the country on their feet. However, if a state is having increased COVID cases, that state can close or quarantine. Our goal is to keep things open to avoid the consequences of a full lockdown. We will be having restrictions locally controlled so that each area can focus on taking the precautions that suit them best.
- Make it so that we reprioritize national parks and reevaluate and select who oversees the land that belongs to the National Parks. We will pass policies, for example regarding lumber companies and how much lumber they can cut down, to protect the Parks and further improve the experience of National Parks. We will ensure the Government does not attempt to completely take over the land.
- The current minimum wage is $7.25, which means full-time, is approximately $15,000 a year. The median amount of money needed to live comfortably in America is around $68,00. I will raise the minimum wage to $15 for everyone to make it easier to live in America.
